报考和执照的学历要求相同：
总学分：120个
学位：本科及以上
会计学分：24个，其中必须包含：Financial accounting, Cost accounting, Taxation, Audit and attestation
商业学分：21个，其中必须包含：
· 6 semester hours (or 4 semester hours at the graduate level) in business law,
· 6 semester hours in finance,
· 3 semester hours in statistics, and
· 6 semester hours in economics.
另外，执照申请还需要美国社保号SSN，以及2年以上的会计相关工作经验（public accounting firm/government/proviate industry/education institution）
2.2009年8月1日后毕业的学员
报考要求：
总学分：120个
学位：本科及以上
会计学分无要求，必须要有以下指定的四门课程：
· Financial accounting,
· Cost or management accounting,
· Taxation,
· Audit and attestation.
执照要求：
总学分：120个
学位：本科及以上
会计学分：33个，其中必须包括：
· Financial accounting,
· Cost accounting,
· Taxation,
· Audit and attestation,
· Accounting research,
商业学分：36个
工作经验：1年以上的会计相关工作（public accounting firm/government/proviate industry/education institution），必须由一位AICPA签字人为学员签字证明；
同时，申请者必须要有美国社保号SSN；
3.已持有15年会计师事务所工作经验
如果申请者已经有了15年的会计事务所工作经验，并且该经验是在under the direct supervision 下完成的，即可直接参加考试，并且申请执照。
